Memo
| | |
| | | | | | | | | To: | Superintendent and Board of Education | | From: | Jacob McDermott, Director of Maintenance and Operations | | Date: | August 26, 2024 | | Re: | Request to Approve Replacement Stadium Track Lighting at North Hills Middle School |
| | |
| | | | | | | | Recommended Motion:
I move the Board of Education to approve the replacement of the stadium/track lights at North Hills Middle School in the amount of $206,360, with the addition of the 10% contingency of $20,636 to Voss lighting supply, using pricing per the Omnia cooperative purchasing contract, bringing the total approved budget to $226,996 to be funded by the Co-curricular Endowment Fund - special revenue fund.
Background Information:
The majority of the track stadium lights at North Hills Middle School have burnt out. These are older lamps that are original to Lahser High School. We can not obtain parts for these lights due to age and new code regulations. Working with Voss lighting supply and under Omnia contract #02-83, we plan to replace the older lights with 68 new LED fixtures with remote drivers. Pending board approval, this project would start Fall of 2024.
